The House at Pointe du Lac Noir is situated at the heart of the Laurentian forest. Emerging from the foliage, this residential cube illuminates the mountainside. The simplicity of the volume results from the desire to maximise the living space within the envelope. Perched on the mountainside, the residence balances like a rock, a monolith overlooking the surrounding landscape. The cedar cladding allows the residence to blend in harmoniously with the surrounding vegetation on site.
